"Illusory"
an animated short
"Illusory" is an animated short film created with Blender 3D. I created this film during my university graduation year. I work single-handed in this project making the basic sketches to the final animations. The process includes my storyboards, animatics, props modeling, character modeling, rigging, lighting, and texturing/ rendering steps.

Characters
The illusory project has 4 main characters. These characters are the doll, the mother, the little girl, and the toy maker.

Environements
I shaped all of the environments with not pre-made or free assets but my models. This led me to learn a lot of hard surface experience while educating my aesthetic on interior and outdoor design.
The project contains 5 different environments including the bedroom, the doll shop, the street, the craft room, and a basic entrance of a Victorian house.
Victorian Bedroom. Child bedroom.

Victorian Street. Victorian market.

Street Figures

Craft Room. Sewing Room.

Victorian House. Enterance.

Doll Shop. Victorian Toy Store.

Pre-Production
despite creating the Illusory being one of the challenging tasks in my academic life as an amateur artist, I developed many skills during the making of this film since I had to experience all parts of a production workflow. I pushed my limits to improve my skills in each step.

Here are the final character designs. I had to do a lot of research to stay within the strict limitations of the Victorian Era in terms of clothing, jewelry, and some design elements. Also, I had do consider the character's economic status and design outfits accordingly.

Basic sketches to create a few options for each character. Me and my Mentor choose the best of them to create an appropriate and balanced look.

My moodboards and color palletes to design environemnts and the overall LUT's of the film.

SERPENTINE
A non-commercial product visualization project for Roberto Cavalli's Serpentine as my final for the 3rd-year Animation Class. The project span took three months, containing various stages of animatics, modeling, animation, and post-production.
I chose to work on a brand that I particularly admire in terms of theme and editorial style. The concept of a serpent's wild nature inspired me to do an antique theme. To execute my concept, I sculpted the serpent in Zbrush while all other assets, including the perfume bottle and surroundings modeled in Blender. Working on this project led me to experience new concepts such as camera work and cinematography.

XINSHI
This project involves the concept design for a rider, completed as part of the Zbrush Class in the third year. I sculpted both the character and the monster using Zbrush and rendered them in Keyshot.
• Short Story Writing: I composed a brief narrative centered around two characters who share a connection in terms of design and story.
• Thumbnail Creation: I rendered over 100 thumbnails depicting variations of designs.
• Illustration Development: From the thumbnails, I selected five designs and produced detailed illustrations featuring both the character and the monster.
• Zbrush Sculpting: The characters were sculpted using Zbrush to achieve their final forms.
• Keyshot Rendering: I rendered the sculptures using Keyshot to emphasize their details and textures.

ROWENA
'Rowena's Witch Brew'
An animated loop.
•This is my final project for Blender class during the 3rd year, the brief was creating an animation that loops seamlessly, there should be 2 phases to maintain variation and excitement inside the loop.
